Wear Now, Wear Later

Wear Now, Wear Later

Winter is coming!

And Fall is upon us. As someone who lived in the Midwest for the last 22 years- I'm all too familiar with the transition you're about to go through. Every October, I'd venture into my dusty basement and do the great wardrobe swap- pack up my summer clothing and exchange it with my winter clothing.  It's a significant moment because that's when sh@^ gets real- we can no longer pretend it won't get bone-chillingly cold in a couple of weeks. Since this happens every single year- I encourage you to do things a little different this year, instead of hiding all of your plus size dresses I'm gonna show you how to style them even when it snows- by using our Mia Sheath Dress as an example.

Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall. - F. Scott Fitzgerald

Styling Tip for Fall: Throw a plus size cardigan over your favorite SWAK dress. Try this cardigan, or this cardigan or this jacket

What good is the warmth of summer, without the cold of winter to give it sweetness. - John Steinback

Styling Tip: Instead of layering over the dress, layer under it. Add plus size leggings (like these), a structured plus size shirt (like this) or a long sleeve plus size top (like this) under your favorite SWAK dress.

How do you transition your wardrobe for winter? Have any tips or tricks to share??

I wear the bonnie maxi dress with a turtleneck under it. Looks great! I also put a fitted button down sweater over it with a scarf and it looks great too!
